Past show winners, rare and hard-to-find, splash, feathered, peloric, species, and cymbidium companion plants will be offered in the auction. Some plants will be in spike or in bloom. Smaller divisions and seedlings are also available.


In last year's auction we had bidders from the greater Bay Area, from Sacramento to Santa Cruz, and even from Southern California.


Anyone can bid in the auction, but you must be able to pick up your plants on Sunday Feb 5, 2023, 12:15 pm - 2:30 pm at San Mateo Garden Center, 605 Parkside Way, San Mateo, CA. You can authorize a friend to pick up for you, if needed.

* Bidding starts on Thursday Feb 2, 2023 at 5 pm


* Bidding closes on Sat Feb 4, with staggered end times from 1:05 pm to 3:25 pm.


* Payments are by credit card only.


* Plants must be picked up at San Mateo Garden Center, 605 Parkside Way, San Mateo on Sunday, Feb 5, 12:15 pm - 2:30 pm. NO SHIPPING available for any item.


* A recent photo of the actual plant being sold in the auction will be provided by the Seller/Donor. Not all plants will be in spike or bloom. An example photo that shows what the flower looks like is also provided, if available (even if plant is not currently in bloom or in spike).


* ALL of the sellers are GCCS Club Members, and have stated that they have virus tested their plants & found them negative for the 2 most common cymbidium orchid viruses.


* Plants may be withdrawn from the auction at the club's discretion upon plant check-in (buyers will be notified and credited if this happens).
